I’m a Polish-born interpreter and translator whose life and work have been shaped by moving between languages and cultures. I attended a bilingual high school where French was the language of instruction, studied sociology, worked in France, spent a year in Istanbul on Erasmus, lived in Ireland, and eventually settled in Spain to complete postgraduate studies in cultural anthropology. Those experiences turned a way of life into a calling.
Languages are my constant curiosity: etymology, grammar, regional variation, and the ways people actually speak rather than what’s listed in dictionaries. I dive into a language whenever I travel — even a few local phrases add shape and meaning to a conversation — and that curiosity informs everything I do professionally.
My professional experience ranges from high-pressure emergency interpreting to conferences and cultural events. I spent several years as an interpreter for the 112 emergency line in Catalonia, where I learned to manage stress, make split-second decisions, and — yes — developed what I jokingly call my “Catalan superpower.” I’ve also interpreted at international business conferences and in one-on-one meetings across sectors. The work closest to my heart, though, is cultural interpreting: presentations of Polish literature, art and theatre, where language carries emotion and identity.
Art is a personal passion: I draw and make collages, I follow both classical and contemporary art, and I’ve studied courses in art history and architecture. That background makes me especially at home translating texts about art and culture.
Alongside formal translator training, I’ve taken creative-writing workshops and other courses that sharpen my ear for voice and tone. I bring that sensibility to every project — whether spoken or written — to preserve nuance, personality, and the human touch in translation and interpretation.
What my clients appreciate most?
That I’m reliable, well-prepared, and quick without compromising quality. I meet deadlines, arrive prepared, protect sensitive information, and use AI tools responsibly and ethically.
You can count on me for:
Clear, honest communication: about deadlines, fees, contract terms, any use of AI, etc.
Professionalism and confidentiality: your files are safe. I don’t retain your material after a project unless you explicitly agree, and I never submit your content or intellectual property to third‑party AI tools without permission.
A genuine commitment to your goals: I listen, propose practical solutions, and treat your project as if it were my own. Long-term, trustful relationships with clients and collaborators matter to me.
A deep love of language that shows in the final product: continuous learning and careful attention to voice, tone, and nuance — whether the work is spoken or written.
